Consumers across the country are expected to spend a record-breaking $25.9 billion on Valentine’s Day, sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers to loved ones.

Most Valentine’s Day flowers are cultivated along the equator in Ecuador, Colombia or Kenya, packed by hand into refrigerated airplanes and shipped through a complicated supply chain to retailers and consumers’ doorsteps.

Despite higher supply chain costs, labor shortages and a down economy, suppliers, shippers and couriers work closely with carriers, logistics providers and transportation management solutions to deliver flowers just in time for love’s big day.
