States Logistics Chairs Disaster Simulation Event During CSCMP Roundtable Leadership Forum in Long Beach
The Southern California CSCMP Roundtable participated in June in the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) Disaster Simulation! Each role has a different objective, requiring players to coordinate and collaborate with their sector, demographic, and geographic partners to keep supply lines open. Data visualizations allow players to review and discuss performance metrics and see system-wide impacts of their actions. The exercise illustrates how differing objectives and perceptions often inhibit effective response, and highlights the crucial role of private sector supply chain activities.
